Bangladesh: American Blogger Hacked to Death by Islamic Group‏...JE SUIS AVIJIT

Bangladesh: American Blogger Hacked to Death by Islamic Group‏.

By Rachel Molschky
Free speech is under constant attack by Muslim groups
ANOTHER DEED OF THE RELIGION OF PEACE

Atheist blogger Avijit Roy and his wife, Rafida Ahmed, were attacked on the street in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Thursday night after attending a book fair. Roy was reportedly hacked to death either by machetes or cleavers, and Ahmed was seriously injured but survived.

A Bangladesh-born U.S. citizen, Roy spoke out against religious extremism but fell victim to the very extremism he condemned. Ansar Bangla-7, an Islamic group, has claimed responsibility.
"Roy, reported to be in his 40s, founded a blog called 'Mukto-Mona,' or 'free mind.' He had received threats from extremists before. His books — with titles such as “The Virus of Faith” sure to inflame fundamentalists — were banned from at least one popular Bangladeshi online retailer."
Those books were banned by the online retailer after the owner had received death threats by Farabi Shafiur Rahman, a Muslim allegedly linked to the hardline Islamic party Jamaat-e-Islami, for selling Avijit Roy's books. The store subsequently stopped selling the books.
The Post continues:
"Bangladesh is almost 90 percent Muslim, and one of the world’s few Muslim-majority democracies — but, it seems, always near a tipping point."
"... 'He was a free thinker,' Baki Billah, a friend and fellow blogger, toldIndependent TV station. '… He was not only a strong voice against Islamic fanatics but also equally against other religious fanatics.'"
It is important to note that while he may have written against all religious extremism, the religious group which turned to violence against him was Muslim.
Previous attacks against free-thinkers in Bangladesh include that of writer Humayun Azad in 2004 while he returned from the very same book fair, and the murder of anti-extremist blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider in 2013.
Violence has been a constant in the Muslim country. Earlier this month, the firebombing of a Bangladeshi bus in Dhaka claimed seven lives, and at least 100 people have died since the beginning of the year in similar attacks, considered to be political in nature, resulting from tension between the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League. In 2013, political violence was to blame for at least 300 deaths.
While Islamic parties have been calling for blasphemy laws, liberal group seek to ban religious parties- and the struggle continues.

MY PS.-
AVIJIT WAS A BLOGGER AND SO AM I....TODAY JE SUIS AVIJIT...
AVIJIT WAS AN ATHEIST AND I AM NOT; HOWEVER, HE WAS A HUMAN BEING AND IT WAS HIS FREE CHOICE.  I FEEL SORRY ABOUT HIS DEATH...AND I FEEL SORRY BECAUSE WHILE HE WAS ALIVE, HE NEVER KNEW THE OUTMOST PLEASURE OF KNOWING THE L-RD, OF FEELING HIM AROUND US AND INSIDE OF US...BELIEVING IN G-D IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF MY LIFE...AND NOW AVIJIT IS IN HIS PRESENCE...MAY THE L-RD RECEIVE HIM WITH OPEN ARMS AND FORGIVE HIS ERROR...AMEN

Ya’ari also noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency has made clear that it lacks the tools to effectively monitor the kind of nuclear program that Iran will be allowed to maintain under the emerging deal — incapable, that is, of ensuring that Iran does not fool the West as it has done in the past.
Yesterday we noted the growing concern Israel – and those who support her – have over the emerging nuclear deal with Iran. In today’s Times of Israel, the paper’s founding editor David Horovitz takes a further look at what we have learned about the impending Iranian nuclear agreement and who we should believe:

In an op-ed on February 9, I suggested that Israel’s opposition leader, Isaac Herzog, should stand alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before Congress on March 3, to underline “their common conviction that the regime in Tehran cannot be appeased and must be faced down.”

On Monday evening, as details of the looming US-led deal
with Iran emerged from Geneva, Israel’s most respected Middle East affairs analyst, Channel 2 commentator Ehud Ya’ari, made precisely the same suggestion. So problematic are the reported terms of the deal, Ya’ari indicated, that Israel’s two leading contenders in the March 17 elections, Netanyahu and Herzog, need to put aside their differences and make plain to US legislators that the need to thwart such an accord crosses party lines in Israel and stands as a consensual imperative.

After anonymous sources in Jerusalem leaked to Israeli reporters in recent weeks the ostensible terms of the deal being hammered out, various spokespeople for the Obama administration contended that the Netanyahu government was misrepresenting the specifics for narrow political ends. They sneered that Israel didn’t actually know what the terms were.  And they made the acknowledgement — the astounding acknowledgement for a United States whose key regional ally is directly and relentlessly threatened with destruction by Iran — that the Obama administration is consequently no longer sharing with Jerusalem all sensitive details of the Iran talks.

And yet among the terms of the deal being reported by the Associated Press from Geneva on Monday are precisely those that were asserted in recent weeks by the Israeli sources, precisely those that were scoffed at by the Administration. Centrally, Iran is to be allowed to keep 6,500 centrifuges spinning, and there will be a sunset clause providing for an end to intrusive inspections in some 10-15 years.

WE CAN HIT BACK TOO!!!!
If anything, indeed, some of the terms reported by the AP are even more worrying than those that were leaked in Jerusalem: “The idea would be to reward Iran for good behavior over the last years of any agreement,” the AP said, “gradually lifting constraints on its uranium enrichment program and slowly easing economic sanctions.”

There is also no indication of restrictions on Iran’s missile
LEX TALIONIS
development — its potential delivery systems.
In his TV commentary on Monday night, Ya’ari highlighted that the deal could further embolden Iran as it expands its influence throughout this region, and he noted that the isolation of Iran even by Israel’s key allies was already cracking, with the firmly pro-Israel foreign minister of Australia, Julie Bishop, announcing an imminent visit to Tehran — the first Australian foreign minister to make such a trip in a decade.

The devil of such deals is generally in the detail. But the devil, here, is in the principle as well — the principle that the P5+1 is about to legitimize Iran as a nuclear threshold state. From there, it will be capable of rapidly breaking out to the bomb, well aware that the international community lacks the will to stop it. Because the fools in the White House will allow another Munich, except that this time ISRAEL is NOT Czechoslovakia and BIBI is NOT Benes...even though Pres Hussein Obama is another Chamberlain...remember Proverbs 18:2 where it says “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.”

Applaud Bibi’s Congress Decision: By Shmuel Sackett

ABCD – Applaud Bibi’s Congress Decision: By Shmuel Sackett

I have opposed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on many occasions but when he does something right, brave and very courageous, I am the first to commend him. His controversial decision to speak in front of the US Congress next week is an example of such an act. In my opinion, it is the greatest thing the Prime Minister has done since taking office, close to seven years ago!
Many people, both in Israel and throughout the United States are worried about souring relations with President Obama and the US administration. These critics claim that this speech is arousing unnecessary tensions between our two countries and causing a rift between us. To them, I have a very simple answer; this act by Prime Minister Netanyahu will accomplish the complete opposite! It will bring respect to Israel – and not just from the USA – but from around the world. It will bring honor to the Jewish Nation and will invigorate our people with positive energy.
EL PAPAUPA - EL BIBI
Allow me to explain why I feel this way. In September 1993 the Prime Minister of Israel,  Yitzchak Rabin, signed the infamous “Oslo Accords” on the White House lawn with Yasser Arafat and US President Bill Clinton. Since that time, we did exactly what was requested of us from the world community; We brought the PLO back to Israel and made Arafat the President of the “Palestinian People”. We threw 8,000 of our fellow Jews out of their homes in the beautiful Southwest coastal region of Israel and destroyed their homes, businesses, shuls, Yeshivot and even dug up their graves. We divided the Biblical heartland of Israel into sections and gave away holy cities such as Shechem and Betlechem and we forbid Jews from building in 80% of that land. We divided many parts of the holiest city of Jerusalem and forbade Jews from praying on the site where Abraham bound Isaac and where the Temples stood for over 800 years. Even though things are very tough financially in Israel, and many Jews go to sleep hungry at night, we spent over one TRILLION shekels since the beginning of that failed process just to try to make it work. In short; we did everything that was asked of us by the world community…and it got us nowhere!!!
In Israel, 2,000 Jews are dead since the handshake of September 1993 and 100,000 are wounded and nobody – but nobody – believes in this ridiculous peace dream any more.
Around the world; Anti-Semitism is at a post WWII high. In many modern countries, such as France, Rabbis are actually instructing their male followers not to wear “kippot” in the street or look “too Jewish” for fear of being attacked. American universities have become dangerous places for Jews to study and every Chabad House around the world looks like Fort Knox.
This does not make any sense! Israel has done everything the world asked for yet the world responds with hate??? Don’t they know about our heroic humanitarian efforts after the tragedies in Haiti and the Philippines? Don’t they know how civilized our army is, even to the point of risking the lives of IDF soldiers in order to minimize civilian casualties when fighting Hamas and Hezbollah? Doesn’t the world see how hard we work to protect Moslems who wish to pray on the Temple Mount, even to the point of arresting our own Rabbis and Knesset Members?
Please excuse me but I have to stop for a minute. I am typing these words and actually laughing as they appear on my screen. This very serious article is looking like a Purim skit and if it weren’t 100% true – and tragic – it would indeed win awards for its humor. OF COURSE the world sees everything I just listed above. The problem is that they see it and they interpret it – not as strength, faith, caring, compassion and sacrificing for peace – they see it as WEAKNESS, APOLOGIES, LACK OF JUSTICE and even ATHEISM! They view Israel, and Jews worldwide, as feeble, guilt-ridden, unfortunate souls who will do anything for acceptance and love. Finally, when they see Israeli leaders on television, they laugh – yes, they laugh. They laugh at their cowardice and their naivety. They laugh at their foolishness and political correctness and they laugh because nobody believes a word they say!
Let’s get back to the speech before Congress. Prime Minister Netanyahu could have done what so many had done before. In the name of peace, he could have “folded his cards” and politely apologized to President Obama. He could have come out with a strong statement and read it, together with Secretary of State John Kerry. Finally, he could have made his speech – the exact one he will make in front of Congress – at the AIPAC Policy Conference, which will be held the SAME WEEK as the Congressional speech! Had he made the speech to AIPAC, he would have created no controversy, no tension and been under no pressure from the US administration!
This is exactly why I am supporting Prime Minister Netanyahu in this endeavor. Yes, he could have done any or ALL of the suggestions above… but he chose NOT TO!! The reason is clear – because had he gone “the easy way”, the way most Israeli leaders have chosen to act up until now, he would have caused damage to the Jewish nation by – ONCE AGAIN – showing the world weak, apologetic and cowardly leadership. By standing tall… and strong… and brave… and looking President Obama in the eye and NOT giving in, he awakens the sleeping giant of Jewish pride and independence. He teaches the world a very important lesson: that Israel will not fulfill every wish of theirs – because it has done nothing for us but strengthen the anti-Semite. He follows the heroic example of David Ben Gurion who declared the state of Israel AGAINST the wishes of US President Truman. He follows the heroic example of Levi Eshkol who attacked the Old City of Jerusalem AGAINST the wishes of US President Johnson and he follows the heroic example of Menachem Begin who bombed Iraq’s nuclear reactor AGAINST the wishes of US President Reagan. These acts – in 1948, 1967and 1981 – brought respect to Israel. It REDUCED anti-Semitism around the world because when Israel stands strong and does what is best for her, the world responds with honor and dignity.
I humbly ask, that each and every one of you do the same. Support the Prime Minister of Israel in this brave and courageous act and send a message to him – and to the entire world – that Israeli leaders have started to return to the days of old, when strength, pride and faith in G-d were the most important factors.
This is as simple as ABCD
Applaud Bibi’s Congress Decision! Do it now!!

GO BIBI....GO BIBI....BIBI FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!

By standing tall...

and strong...

and brave...

and looking President Obama
in the eye

and NOT giving in,

Netanyahu awakens

the sleeping giant of Jewish

pride and independence.

ISRAEL POR SIEMPRE Y PARA SIEMPRE

Spy vs. Spy: By Shmuel Sackett (DE CUBA LIBRE A ISRAEL...ESPIA/ESPIA)

Spy vs. Spy: By Shmuel Sackett

11 Sivan, 5774 / June 9, ’14
I admit it. I read MAD magazine as a child growing up. As a matter of fact, I not only read it, I subscribed to it! I received it every month and read it cover to cover. Recently, I saw a current issue of MAD and, like most things from yesteryear – including tv shows – it has become filled with indecent humor, immodest pictures and has become a publication of trash. Not so in the 60’s and 70’s when MAD – and the ever popular Alfred E. Newman – was an icon in America which made people from all walks of life laugh for hours.
One of my favorite parts of MAD was the cartoon “Spy vs Spy” which brought tears of laughter to my entire family. I remember that now, as we enter the Shabbat of Parshat Sh’lach, when we read a rather tragic story of spies. This one is not funny at all and has actually brought pain and suffering to the Jewish nation for thousands of years, and we will fast on Tisha B’av – yet again – because of this tragic episode.
Since we all know what happened, I will not go into it any more but have decided to try to do a “tikkun” to the original spies. They issued an evil report about the land so I will stand up and counter that with my own spy report. This one will focus exclusively on the good of the land, the blessings that Hashem has bestowed upon it and the bright future it offers to all who live in its borders. I call it the Jewish Spy vs Spy. Here is my report.
From Torah to technology, from buildings to beaches, from families to farming and from settlers to soldiers this land is a virtual “Gan Eden” for a Jew of every age, affiliation and background. You simply will never understand the concept we pray for 3 times a day called “Kibbutz Galuyot” (the ingathering of the exiles) until you come to Israel and interact daily with fellow Jews from Colombia, Ireland, Gibraltar, Italy and Kazakhstan! Nothing beats sitting with 5 Jews from 5 different countries, all breaking their teeth speaking Hebrew to one another. Say what you want about the lack of unity in the Jewish world but I feel it, and live it, each day in Israel.
Much has been written about the IDF and their military might but are you aware that almost every army base has its own shul and sefer Torah? Speaking about shuls, did you know that there are 9 – yes, 9 shuls in Ben Gurion Airport? Each one has its own Torah, bima, mechitza and custom designed furniture. These are not rooms in the airport where people daven every once in a while. They are real shuls and I am not exaggerating: There are 9 of them! There are also shuls in most Central Bus Stations, shopping malls, government offices and in every Ikea in the country!
One of the most exciting things about Israel is the number of children being born. As incredible as it sounds, one Jewish child is born every 4 minutes in Israel! Delivery rooms across the country are full to capacity. People think that this is only true of cities like Bnei Brak but in reality, it is true everywhere. Baruch Hashem, Jewish children are being born at rates never seen before! In addition to the obvious advantage of more Yidden in the world, these births are changing the current reality by their “facts on the ground”. What a bracha!!
Another bracha is the return of forgotten and lost mitzvot such as the dozens of mitzvot connected to the land. Did you know that according to the Chofetz Chaim, there are 37 mitzvot (26 positive and 11 negative) that can be done today – even without the Bet Ha’Mikdash – in Israel only??? What a privilege to be able to keep these unique mitzvot, especially the big one headed our way in less than 100 days: Sh’mittah! I am personally connected to many farmers who are working night and day to get their fields ready for Sh’mittah. Recently, the Daf Yomi studied the laws about planting before Sh’mittah and the Halacha is clear that all new trees must be in the ground 45 days before Sh’mittah begins. This comes out to be the famous “Tu B’Av” which this year falls on August 11th. The difference between learning this Daf in Lakewood and Baltimore vs learning it in Jerusalem and Bet El is that after the Daf has been studied, the boys can go out to the fields and make this page of Talmud come to life! Recently, I met with a great Gaon in Torah, HaRav Yosef Efrati, who is the Rosh Yeshiva of Bet Midrash Gavoah for Halacha in Agricultural Settlements. His Yeshiva, located in Har Nof, deals with all aspects and laws of the “Mitzvot Ha’Teluyot Ba’aretz” (commandments dependent on the Land). Their students regularly visit fields and orchards, examine trees and fruit and answer all questions that the Jewish world has on mitzvot such as orlah, ma’aser ani, kilayim and even how to care for indoor plants in Tel Aviv during Sh’mittah. When is the last time you heard of Rabbonim who deal with THAT?

All of this is because we returned to the land! We revived our Nation and redeemed our land. We brought life to places that were dead and built cities on top of ruins. We not only read and studied the Torah, we lived the Torah by conquering, settling and building the land which Hashem gave to us. We revived an old language that had been confined to books and taught it to children so those books would be studied by them and not just by their scholars. We planted vineyards in fulfillment of prophecies, returned to holy places where millions of tears had been shed and changed the image of the weak and frail exile Jew to the Jewish warrior like David and Samson.
In short, my spy report is clear and simple. The land of Israel is the perfect place for the people of Israel and I urge you all to come home as soon as you can. 3,326 years ago the Jews heard from the spies and cried. I beg you to change those tears from sadness to joy and to listen to this one spy who would never steer you wrong.

AND I ADD...

ISRAEL IS LIKE A ROSE,
SOMETIMES SHE GIVES YOU PETALS,
 SOMETIMES SHE GIVES YOU THORNS...
BUT SHE ALWAYS GIVES YOU HER AROMA!!!

ANTI-WAR KERRY
In a new wave of criticism against Israel’s prime minister, US Secretary of State John Kerry attacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judgment on Iran by implying that he publicly advocated for the US invasion of Iraq in 2003.  The secretary’s comments were made Wednesday at a House Foreign Affairs Committee meeting in an attempt to discredit and delegitimize Netanyahu’s evaluation of the Iranian threat.  “The prime minister was profoundly forward-leaning and outspoken about the importance of invading Iraq,” Kerry stated.
He went on to add that Netanyahu “may have a judgment that just may not be correct here.” In 2002, Netanyahu warned a Congressional committee about the dangers of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. His comments were made as a private citizen and not a governmental figure.  Conveniently, Kerry failed to mention in his testimony on Wednesday that he voted, as a then senator, in favor of the US invasion of Iraq on October 11, 2002. (MY PS.- IN MY OPINION, IT MUST BE ALL THAT MARIHUANA HE SMOKED IN THE 60'S.....LOL).
KERRY AND HANOI-JANE
Kerry criticized Netanyahu for being “extremely outspoken” about the interim agreement between Iran and the P5+1. However, he said that he will not “prejudge” the prime minister’s upcoming speech. The secretary’s comments come a day after US National Security Adviser Susan Rice publicly shamed Netanyahu for creating a “destructive” situation between the US and Israel.
“What has happened over the last several weeks, by virtue of the invitation that was issued by the speaker and the acceptance of it by Prime Minister Netanyahu, two weeks in advance of his election, is that on both sides there has now been injected a degree of partisanship which is not only unfortunate; it’s destructive of the fabric of the relationship,” she said.  Netanyahu has said it is his “sacred duty” to speak to Congress to dissuade them from approving an impending “bad deal” with Iran. Several Arab nations have joined alongside Netanyahu, issuing their own warning to the US.

ISRAEL: CRADLE OF DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM

Image result for PIN US AND ISRAEL FLAGSImage result for PIN US AND ISRAEL FLAGS
In the next few weeks we will get a far clearer answer to the foremost foreign policy issue of our day: Will Iran be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon?
A number of Democratic senators and every Republican senator - save Sen’s Rand Paul of Kentucky and Jeff Flake of Arizona have committed to supporting bipartisan legislation aimed at stepping up sanctions against Iran should the Islamic Republic refuse to reach a deal on its nuclear program. But because President Obama has threatened to veto this legislation, a simple majority will not do.
We need to continue to secure Democratic support for this legislation so that Israel’s allies may be able to override the President’s veto and give him the leverage he needs to win concessions from Iran, even if he lacks the wisdom to want this leverage. CUFI’s recent action alert on this subject which generated over 30,000 emails to the Senate has ensured that your voice in support of this legislation is heard by each and every senator in our nation’s capital.
As we are working to build support for Israel in Washington, we will also continue our grassroots efforts unabated. Over the course of the past month, CUFI brought 90 pastors from across the United States on three different Pastors Leadership Tours to Israel. The holy sites moved them to tears. Many said they were changed for life after listening to Arab Christian pastors express their support for Israel and dispel the anti-Israel myths they had heard back home. Young IDF soldiers briefed them on the constant danger from nearby enemies, and the realities of protecting their country. These pastors left as acquaintances and returned as a band of brothers, informed, equipped and energized with Biblically-mandated resolve to stand with the Apple of God’s eye.
In addition, we held our first Pastors & Leaders Regional Forum in Lake Arrowhead, CA last month. Over 100 leaders learned from Pastor Dumisani Washington about the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King’s pro-Israel Legacy. CUFI’s Executive Director David Brog spoke about Israel’s constant struggle for peace and security. CUFI on Campus Director David Walker discussed the battle for Israel on our college campuses. Yaki Lopez from the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles encouraged our pastors. We are thrilled that thousands of Christians across California will learn more about Israel from their pastors participating in our first Pastors & Leaders Regional Forum.
And this coming July we will hold our 10th annual Washington Summit. It will be our most important and largest event ever. It will show our elected leaders that those who visit them daily from our new DC office speak for a massive and passionate grassroots army.
Though none of us foresaw this moment when we founded this organization, it has become abundantly clear why God sought fit to bring us together when He did.  We cannot not accomplish what we do for Zion's Sake without our members' steadfast support.
Blessings to you and those you love,
Pastor John Hagee - National Chairman Christians United for Israel David Brog - Executive Director Christians United for Israel
