A Border Patrol captain fell in the line of duty...JADAN ASSAD Z"L

The Hamas terrorist organization praised the vehicular terror attack which also injured at least 13 others. Three of the most seriously wounded were also rushed to Hadassah Medical Center’s Ein Kerem trauma center.
The terrorist, a known Hamas operative has been identified as Ibrahim al-Akari.  The attacker first mowed down a crowd of pedestrians waiting for the Jerusalem Light Rail at the Shimon HaTzadik platform. He then drove on to Moshe Zaks Street and repeated the process with new victims.
The attack mirrored one that took place two weeks ago at the Ammunition Hill station for the Light Rail. In that tragedy, a terrorist drove his car down the tracks and then directly into the crowd of commuters who were standing on the platform waiting patiently for the train.  But in this case, Al-Akari continued his attack; he got out of his vehicle and began beating others with a metal bar until he saw police cars begin to arrive. Finally he fled down Route 1, where he was chased by Border Patrol officers who shot and killed him, ending the savagery — at least temporarily.
A scant few hours later, Arabs in Shuafat followed the terror spree with an attempt of their own, hurling firebombs (Molotov cocktails) and shooting fireworks at Border Patrol officers in Jerusalem’s Shuafat section. In a separate incident, two other Arabs meanwhile sprayed tear gas at Jerusalem police officers. It is not clear where they managed to obtain the weapon. No one was injured in either attack, and police report one arrest following the incidents.

A Border Patrol captain fell in the line of duty on Wednesday while trying to protect Jerusalem civilians from a Hamas terrorist.  Chief Inspector Jadan Assad, 38, was from the Druze village of Beit J’an in northern Israel. Assad was gravely wounded in the terror attack and tragically pronounced dead upon arrival at Hadassah Medical Center’s Ein Kerem trauma unit, despite extended CPR and advanced life support resuscitation efforts.  He leaves behind his pregnant wife and a three year old child; three other Border Patrol officers also were wounded in the attack.  “All my sons serve in the security forces; the Border Police was in his blood and soul,” said Assad’s father shortly after hearing of his son’s death. “He loved the service and he loved Jerusalem.”  HONOR AND GLORY TO JADAN ASSAD Z"L AND TO HIS FAMILY PEACE-SHALOM AND G-D'S BLESSINGS!

An Arab terrorist slammed his van into pedestrians in an attack in Jerusalem shortly after noon Wednesday, killing one, leaving two others in critical condition and several others in serious condition.  Fourteen people have been injured so far. Three of the seriously wounded were taken to Hadassah Ein Karem, where one of them died despite resuscitation attempts.  The attack began on the corner of Bar Lev and Shimon Hatzadik Street at the Shimon Hatzadik Light Rail platform. The driver then continued onto Moshe Zaks Street where he ran over more people.  The terrorist, not satisfied with running over people at the two locations, then got out of the car and began beating people with a metal pole.  Two Border Patrol police shot and killed the terrorists, preventing a worse tragedy.  The terrorist was from Shuafat and known to be a Hamas operative. He has been identified as Ibrahim Al-Akari........MAY HE ROT IN HELL!!!!!

Thousands came to the northern Israeli Druze town of Beit J’an today to pay their final respects to Border Patrol Chief Inspector Jadan Assad as he was laid to rest.  The 38-year-old police captain was murdered in a Hamas vehicular terror attack yesterday (Wednesday, Nov. 5) along the tracks of the Jerusalem Light Rail. He is survived by his pregnant wife and young, three-year-old son, four siblings and both parents.  Among the sea of mourners was Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovitch, whose voice rang out as he blamed Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas for Assad’s death.  The Druze police captain, he said, “was murdered yesterday with heartless cruelty and taken evilly from his wife, his son and his parents.”  Israeli leaders have united in condemning the Palestinian Authority leader, citing repeated instances of his incitement to terror.  Three other Border Patrol police officers suffered serious wounds in the attack in addition to ten others who were wounded as well.

In today’s terrorist attack in Jerusalem our Druze brother, Border Policeman Jidan Assad from the Galilee village of Beit Jann, was murdered. It was another Druze officer at the scene who eliminated the terrorist. What a wonderful community. I am very familiar with his family. His late father was a quadriplegic due to injuries he sustained during the First Lebanon War. My condolences to the Assad family and to all members of the Druze community.

I salute you and love you, my Druze brothers.  MK Naftali Bennett

ISRAEL-WORSE-THAN-ATOMIC BOMB.....SETTLEMENTS AND/OR NEW CONSTRUCTIONS

Nov 05, 2014, 12:04PM | Rivka SalomonWill the construction continue?

Additional Construction Approved in Jerusalem

Despite the international condemnation, the Committee for Building and Construction approved 244 new housing units in the Ramot neighborhood in Jerusalem, which is located over the green line. “The construction will continue with full force,” they said, stressing that the municipality cannot allow discrimination against the Jews.

In the background of the recent tension with the American government over settlement construction, the local Committee for Building and Construction approved the construction of 244 units in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem.  “Building in Jerusalem is essential, important and will continue with all its strength and power in order to allow more young people to live in Jerusalem, to build and strengthen the future of the Israeli capital city,” the Jerusalem Municipality explained. It is said that 28 of the units will be new and 216 of the units were approved in the past but were now submitted to be approved again. The decision for additional approvals joins the approvals at the beginning of the week of 500 units in Ramat Shlomo, which is located over the green line. This move led to sharp US criticism....
The Jerusalem Municipality emphasized today that they will not permit a building freeze for Jews: “Discrimination based on religion, race or sex is illegal in any civilized country. The plans discussed today were fully approved several years ago. Two weeks ago, the developers requested renewal plans in favor of issuing building permits.”

WHAT IS WORSE? INSULTS or OBAMA'S POLICY TOWARDS ISRAEL

The Obama administration officials’ vulgar treatment of Israel’s prime minister is troubling. But the policies behind their vulgarity – and reckless – are far worse.
Two officials were involved: one who used the epithet to describe Israel’s leader, and a second who agreed with the obscene remark. The point they were both making is that they consider Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “coward” because he won’t make the concessions that they believe might lead to peace.
What concessions, exactly? President Obama, Secretary of State Kerry, and other senior administration officials have said time and again that they want Israel to retreat to the 1967 armistice lines and permit the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. That would, of course, reduce Israel to just nine miles wide at its vulnerable mid-section, near Netanya. It would also almost certainly lead to a hostile Arab state — whether nationalist or Islamist — in Israel’s heartland.
What about Jerusalem? The White House and the State Department are very careful to refrain from saying explicitly that they want to redivide Jerusalem. They don’t say that out loud because they know it would infuriate millions of pro-Israel Christian and Jewish voters (not to mention almost all Israelis).
But “redivide Jerusalem” is exactly what the Obama administration is implying every time it condemns Israel for building apartments in so-called “East Jerusalem” and claims that such construction endangers peace. But the only peace it would endanger is one in which that part of Jerusalem is expected to be given to the Palestinians.
Otherwise, why would the White House be so upset if apartments are built in Ramat Shlomo, an Orthodox neighborhood in northern Jerusalem, or Gilo, a section of southern Jerusalem? The problem with Ramat Shlomo and Gilo is they are situated slightly beyond the old 1967 line.
Israelis naturally find the Obama administration’s characterization of such areas as “illegal settlements” laughable. Gilo is not a collection of trailers on some wind-swept hill. It is a modern, urban locale with more than 30,000 residents. Anyone who has driven in Jerusalem knows that Ramat Shlomo, Gilo, and the other neighborhoods denounced by the U.S. administration are physically indistinguishable from the rest of the city.
But the White House and State Department refuse to accept this reality. They are locked into a rigid ideological formula, according to which the 1967 line is sacrosanct and anything beyond it is “illegal” and “occupied.” And anything that is illegal and occupied, is expected to be surrendered.
There is, of course, nothing sacred about the 1967 armistice line. It was never an official border. It was simply the furthest point to which Jordanian troops managed to advance in the 1948 war. The Jordanian aggression in 1948 was illegal. The Jordanian occupation of the eastern part of Jerusalem, including the Old City, from 1948 to 1967 was illegal. The Jordanian destruction of 57 synagogues in the Old City during the 1950s and 1960s was illegal. Jordan’s use of tombstones from the Mount of Olives cemetery as latrines in Jordanian Army barracks was illegal (not to mention repulsive).
When Israel won the 1967 war and reunited Jerusalem, it was correcting an outrageous historical injustice. Decent people everywhere should celebrate that the city has, since 1967, been ruled by a democratic government that respects the rights of all religions and safeguards the holy sites of all faiths.
And, indeed, the United States Congress has recognized it since 1992, when the House of Representatives and the Senate unanimously adopted Senate Concurrent Resolution 113, celebrating “the reunification of Jerusalem.” That resolution asserted that Jerusalem “must remain an undivided city.”
Perhaps the Obama administration should be more frank about its true aim of re-dividing Jerusalem. Perhaps it should honestly acknowledge that it regards all construction beyond the 1967 line as illegal because it wants to Israel to give those areas to the Palestinians. xxx Perhaps they should say it plainly, and then see how it plays out among Israel’s voters, and America’s.
For here, in plain English, is what redividing Jerusalem would mean: The new capital of “Palestine” would include the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, the Jewish Quarter of the Old City, the Mount of Olives cemetery, and most or all of the following “new city” Jerusalem neighborhoods: Ramot, French Hill, Gilo, Neve Yaakov, Ramat Shlomo, Har Homa and Givat Hamatos.
And that would be truly obscene.

SISI IS LEARNING TO PROTECT HIS COUNTRY FROM HAMAS/ISIS

Gazans have been watching impassively on their side of the border as Egyptian troops demolished Rafah homes to make way for a military buffer zone.  Few are serene about the turn of events that will greatly reduce, if not entirely eliminate the possibility of smuggling anything in or out of Egypt via tunnels under the border near Rafah. That includes the normal goods of daily life, as well as the weapons and other items imported to expand the arsenal of Gaza’s terrorist infrastructure.
Security has been raised to its highest alert level in the area after a bomb exploded Monday near Egyptian troops as they worked. No one was wounded in the attack, but troops are on their guard.  On October 24, 31 Egyptian soldiers were killed by Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis terrorists. Since then, a state of emergency was declared for the town of Rafah – which straddles Egypt’s border with Gaza – and its surrounding areas. Ansar Bayt al-Maqis is linked to Al Qaeda and the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (ISIS) terrorist organizations.
The buffer zone, to be 500 meters (550 yards) wide, will run along the 13-kilometer (8 mile) Egyptian border with Gaza, starting from northern Sinai and extending to the Mediterranean Sea.  Thus far some 300 homes have already been razed to the ground, with at least 500 left to go. The project is expected to displace more than 10,000 Egyptian citizens who are to be compensated by the government for the loss of their homes and any businesses or livelihoods they were forced to leave behind.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi called on Egyptians to unite with him to fight the terrorists who threaten the security of the nation and have essentially transformed the Sinai Peninsula into their personal stronghold.  “This is our battle, all of us,” he said in comments following last week’s attack on the military. “The battle of all Egyptians.”
The government has allocated up to one billion Egyptian pounds (nearly $140 million) in compensation funds for those whose homes were demolished.
“We won’t forget their sacrifice,” el-Sisi said.

(JTA) — Egypt said it found hundreds of new tunnels between Gaza and the Sinai.  Cairo, which is creating an eight-mile buffer zone, discovered the tunnels using satellite imagery, the Times of Israel wrote, citing a report on Sky News Arabic. The Egyptian army plans to uproot 10,000 residents from approximately 800 houses to make way for the buffer zone.
The zone’s construction comes in response to a terror attack at an army checkpoint last week in which 31 soldiers were killed. Since the attack, Egypt has implemented a curfew and a three-month state of emergency, and has closed the Gaza border.
Eventually the buffer zone will be monitored with surveillance cameras and will feature a water-filled trench along the border to the Mediterranean Sea, the Times of Israel reported.

MY PS.-
YOU'D BETTER WATCH OUT OF PRES. HUSSEIN OBAMA MAY GET UPSET.....LOL

HOPE TO SEE IT WITHIN MY LIFETIME...THE 3rd TEMPLE!!!

I can’t understand why the government claims to be afraid about what the Arabs will say or do when it comes to Jewish prayer and access to the Temple Mount?
Are they going to shoot at us from Gaza? Are they going to launch firecrackers at us from Jerusalem? Will they throw rocks at the Jerusalem Light Rail? Nu shoin. They’re doing that already.  But these aren’t even the Arabs that the government is referring to.  They’re referring to Arabs out there, somewhere else. In Jordan, in Saudi Arabia, in Iraq. Oy! Maybe even Yemen.
Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount will galvanize them to… to what exactly?
Riot in their own cities? Behead each other a little more? Somehow cross the desert to attack us? And the few that make it will what? Throw stones at the border fence before we shoot their legs? Maybe they’ll pass around pictures of Moshe Feiglin praying on the Temple Mount on their social network sites. That will really work them into a lather.  The claim that we’re concerned about the Arab reaction is a fictional one.
The Pisher-King of Jordan should be more worried about ISIS overrunning his kingdom, or of his oppressed “Palestinians” overthrowing his British imposed regime (which would resolve the two-state solution once and for all).
It seems Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount is more their problem than our problem.  If our government is against Jewish Prayer on the Temple Mount, it should say the real reason why.  Maintaining this so-called “status quo” is another farce.  For a few years after 1967, when we weren’t afraid of this fictional Arab rage, Jews would go up to the Temple Mount, and they would even openly pray there. So if anything, that’s the status quo I say we should return to (at a minimum).  A bunch of angry Arabs really isn’t something we need to worry about. They’re always angry, and look at what it’s got them.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry blasted Arab rioters who have been attacking people on the Temple Mount over the past several weeks, pointing out “it is the rioters themselves who are defiling the Al Aqsa Mosque by transforming it into a base for attacks. They use the mosque’s furniture as barricades and launch fireworks from inside its premises.”
The Temple Mount in Jerusalem, where both the First and Second Temples in Judaism were built, remains the holiest site in Judaism.
Known in Hebrew as “Har HaBayit,” the site is called “Haram al-Sharif” in Arabic (the Noble Sanctuary) by Muslims, and now contains the ‘Dome of the Rock’ as well as the Al Aqsa Mosque,’ which is considered to be the third holiest site in Islam.  The Al Aqsa Mosque is situated at the southern end of the Temple Mount plaza (esplanade), and covers only a relatively small part of its surface. Moreover, there is evidence that places the historical Jewish Temples on a different part of the Temple Mount than that which is occupied by the mosque.
When Jerusalem was reunited in 1967, Israeli officials decided to allow the Islamic Waqf Authority to continue to administer the site, in cooperation with the Jordanian monarchy. Israel also chose to uphold the existing status quo, according to which non-Muslims can visit the Temple Mount at fixed times, but are not permitted to conduct any prayers. Moreover, non-Muslims who visit the Temple Mount cannot enter the Al Aqsa Mosque itself, and are limited to visiting other parts of the site, mainly the large open spaces.
“It is very important to note that the Government of Israel is committed to maintaining the status quo on the Temple Mount and will oppose all proposals to change it,” emphasized the Foreign Ministry in its statement released this week. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu emphasized a similar stance on Sunday prior to the start of the weekly government cabinet meeting.
“In the past few months, Palestinian radicals have been trying to breach the status quo by preventing Christians and Jews from visiting the Temple Mount,” the Foreign Ministry said. “Palestinian rioters – incited by Hamas and the radical branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel – have attacked visitors as well as police with stones and fireworks, using the Al Aqsa Mosque as their base of operations. The Israeli authorities have sought to contain these attempts by Islamist extremists to escalate the situation on the Temple Mount.
“The ridiculous accusations that Israel plans to harm the Al Aqsa Mosque are utterly baseless. The fact that they are made not only by Islamist extremists but also by the mainstream Palestinian leadership is alarming and dangerous.  “It is the Palestinian rioters themselves who are defiling the Al Aqsa Mosque by transforming it into a base for attacks. They use the mosque’s furniture as barricades and launch fireworks from inside its premises, where carpets and wooden beams could easily catch fire. The rioters are also demonstrating their disrespect for the many Muslim worshippers who simply wish to pray in peace, as well as for the Islamic Waqf that manages the site.”
Israel Police, which is responsible for public order in Jerusalem, exercises extra caution — and some would say far too much care — not to hurt the sensitivities of Muslim worshipers on the Temple Mount.  Officers restrict themselves solely to entering the area specifically in cases “when riots must to be controlled.” Moreover, as a matter of policy, the police never enter the mosque itself, the Foreign Ministry points out.
Although they often find themselves in life-threatening situations, police officers who operate on the Temple Mount are only equipped with non-lethal means for self-protection.

Republicans Seize Control of Both Houses of Congress

President Obama is now facing Republican control over both houses of congress. That is likely to bring a sigh of relief for pro-Israel Americans.
By:      Published: November 5th, 2014

In an election that spells the end of the Democrat’s vise over the U.S. Senate, U.S. President Obama now looks ahead to a long 27-months of lame-duckship.  Obama and the Democrats have had their talking points headed with “blame Republicans for Washington gridlock,” but the U.S. administration and its cheering squad in congress will now own the gridlock title, as columnist Jonathan Tobin at Commentary rightly predicted going into yesterday’s election.
The Republicans have taken control of the U.S. Senate, gaining 7 seats from the Democrats, and retained control of the House, achieving a net gain of 10 seats. The Republicans have 235 of the 435 House seats, so they are ahead by a comfortable margin.
Political commentator Charles Krauthammer objected to the use of the term “wave” to describe the routing of Democrats in yesterday’s election. He diagnosed it instead as a “tsunami.”
The growth of House control by the Republicans spells changes in chairmanships of important committees. One to watch will be the Ways and Means Committee, which will be headed by Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan. This committee is about to rewrite the tax code, and given the IRS scandals and numerous investigations which critics have claimed were stymied by the Democrats’ control, this should be interesting to watch.
Similarly, the control by the GOP of the Senate will have a significant impact on committee chairmanships in that chamber. Insiders are expecting Sen. John McCain to assume leadership over the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Watch that space! McCain has been deriding this administration’s bungling of foreign policy all over the globe.
Another big change is that Harry Reid will no longer be the powerful Senate majority leader. That plum is expected to go to Sen. Mitch McConnell, although Ted Cruz (R-TX) very publicly refused to commit to backing the Kentucky Republican in what looks to be a secondary backstage battle to watch next week.
A breakdown of significant changes and what they mean for those who care about U.S.-Israel relations to follow.

OUR LAME-DUCK-GOLFER-IN-CHIEF IS ON FOR TWO ROUGH YEARS...SO WHAT?  HE HAD HAD US ON A ROUGH COURSE FOR 6.

Among the direct political implications for Washington politics, for state houses and kitchen tables across the US, Tuesday’s midterm elections marked the beginning of the end for President Barack Obama’s political career.  The president enters his final two years in office having just begun a military campaign against a terrorist organization larger than any other in history, with no definitive end in sight. He hopes to clinch a comprehensive deal with Iran and other world powers over its nuclear program that is acceptable to the Israeli government. And, like two US presidents before him, he seeks to restart stalled efforts toward peace between Israel and the Palestinians – or at least to prevent their definitive end.

The White House on Tuesday remained relatively quiet. The president remained in the West Wing for meetings on the country’s responses to the Ebola virus and to Islamic State.  He declined to campaign in Senate races being hotly contested, from Iowa, whose people might elect their first woman to statewide office, to Kansas, where an independent could straddle the balance of power in the Senate, likely to tip into Republican control.

After clinching victory, Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) will lead the upper chamber as majority leader. And in that position, McConnell has promised change from Capitol Hill.  With both houses under unified leadership, the president can expect bills to arrive on his desk that were long blocked from debate or vote by a Democratic majority leader.

Productivity will be an imperative for McConnell, whose party will immediately pivot to focus on the 2016 presidential election. Republicans will seek to appear productive during their two years in control of the legislature before that time.

The Democratic presidential race will begin shortly after the midterm votes are counted. Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, front-runner for her party’s nomination in 2016, says she expects to announce in January whether she will run.

Whether Obama can arrive at a compromise with a Republican Congress on significant issues – moderate fixes to healthcare reform, a comprehensive immigration bill, sufficient standards in dealing with Iran – will be the greatest question challenging the remainder of his presidency. But regardless of Republican successes on Tuesday, the clock will begin its countdown on the president’s final days in office.

UK: Muslim Sets Fire to Army Cadet Selling Remembrance Day Poppies

UK: Muslim Sets Fire to Army Cadet Selling
Remembrance Day Poppies

NOT-SO-GREAT BRITAIN: THE ISLAMIZATION OF THE UK

Poppies-are-seen-in-a-pil-005

The remembrance poppy has been used since 1921 to commemorate soldiers who have died in war. Inspired by the World War I poem “In Flanders Fields”, they were first used by the American Legion to commemorate American soldiers who died in that war (1914–1918). They were then adopted by military veterans’ groups in parts of the former British Empire: the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Today, they are mainly used in the UK and Canada to commemorate their servicemen and women who have been killed in all conflicts since 1914. There, small artificial poppies are often worn on clothing for a few weeks until Remembrance Day/Armistice Day (11 November). Poppy wreaths are also often laid at war memorials. The Islamic State has ordered such attacks against military personnel in the US and Europe. We have seen soldiers in Canada murdered in cold blood by Muslims, NYPD attacked by an ax-welding Muslim and this….“Army cadet, 15, burned with aerosol can and lighter after he sold Remembrance Day poppies in Manchester city centre.”  Teenager was waiting at bus stop in camouflaged uniform.  Attacker sprayed him with lit fumes from the can and then escaped.

The cadet, who was wearing his camouflaged uniform, suffered burns to his face and singed hairs on his face and right forearm as he waited for a bus by the by the Manchester Art Gallery, picturedDetective Inspector Liam Boden said: ‘This is an absolutely appalling attack on a young man who was raising money to help remember all those who gave their lives fighting bravely for their country.‘At this stage of our inquiries, we’re keeping an open minded as to what motivated the offender to commit such an act.‘ Given the initial description we have of the offender, it may be that he was under the influence of something but whatever his motivation, his violent actions could have scarred this young man for life.‘ Although he has suffered some minor injuries, it is pure luck that he did not sustain more serious burns to his face and body.’  The offender, described as black or Asian, 5ft 8in tall and wearing a dark hooded top, walked off from the bus stop in Manchester city centre without saying a word.

Why Obama Hates Netanyahu

Why Obama Hates Netanyahu

MY PS.-

US-JEWISH VOTERS...REMEMBER THIS IN ELECTION DAY!!!!!

OUR ANTI-OBAMA VOTE IS OUR BEST-BUT-NOT-ONLY SOLUTION!!!!

ISRAEL IS AN INDEPENDENT AND SOVEREIGN NATION AND MUST PAY ATTENTION TO OBAMA'S SUBTLE-OR-NOT-SO-SUBTLE BLACKMAIL TACTICS...

DOES ISRAEL TELL THE USA WHERE ITS CITIZENS CAN PRAY?????

Kerry Says Only Muslims, Not Jews, May Pray at Jewish Holy SiteOctober 31, 2014 by

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

Why exactly is the Secretary of State trying to dictate who can and can’t pray ata particular place? Does Kerry think that the Temple Mount is a public school?

Washington called for Israeli authorities to reopen the Temple Mount to Muslim worshipers Thursday, while also condemning the shooting of a US-born activist who lobbied for Jewish rights on the holy site
“It is absolutely critical that all sides exercise restraint, refrain from provocative actions and rhetoric, and preserve the historic status quo on the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount – in word and in practice,” Kerry said in a statement.
“The Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount must be re-opened to Muslim worshipers and I support the long-standing practices regarding non-Muslim visitors to the site,” he said.
“Jews cannot worship atop the mount, only at the Western Wall.”

The Secretary of State of the United States just ordered Israel to limit prayers in a particular place to Muslims, not Jews. And apparently to ban other non-Muslims too.
Remember when the United States used to uphold religious freedom? These days it sends people to jail for offending Muslims and orders other countries to engage in religious discrimination on behalf of Muslims.

US calls on Israel to reopen Temple Mount amid tensions

John Kerry condemns shooting of US-born Jewish activist, says any change in status quo at site ‘provocative and dangerous’

 October 31, 2014, 12:59 am

Washington called for Israeli authorities to reopen the Temple Mount to Muslim worshipers Thursday, while also condemning the shooting of a US-born activist who lobbied for Jewish rights on the holy site.

Secretary of State John Kerry said he was “extremely concerned” by spiraling tensions in the capital, after Israeli authorities closed the site — known as Haram al-Sharif to Muslims — in an effort to staunch possible violence following the Wednesday night shooting of Rabbi Yehudah Glick.
“It is absolutely critical that all sides exercise restraint, refrain from provocative actions and rhetoric, and preserve the historic status quo on the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount — in word and in practice,” Kerry said in a statement. “The Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount must be reopened to Muslim worshipers and I support the long-standing practices regarding non-Muslim visitors to the site,” he added.
Palestinians said the full closure of the site, considered holy to both Muslims and Jews, was provocative, and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called the closure, possibly for the first time since 1967, a “declaration of war,” according to a spokesperson.  Police said Thursday evening they would reopen the site Friday morning for Muslim prayers.
“It was decided to restore [the compound] to normal… effective immediately,” announced police spokeswoman Luba Samri, adding that because of a fear of unrest at Friday midday prayers, entry for Muslim men would be restricted to those over 50.
Kerry said any move to change access rights to the holy site would be “both provocative and dangerous.” Currently Jews are barred from praying in the compound, considered the holiest site in Judaism, an issue Glick had advocated to change.
Police took the unorthodox move to close the compound after Glick, the leader of the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation, was shot while leaving a Jerusalem conference center Wednesday night.
Glick was in stable condition Thursday night and doctors said his condition had improved slightly.
Kerry said US authorities were in touch with Israeli officials about the shooting. “I strongly condemn yesterday’s shooting of a US citizen outside the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family,” he said. Glick’s suspected shooter, East Jerusalem resident Mu’taz Hajizi, was killed by police in a shootout early Thursday.
The shooting and closure of the Temple Mount came amid flaring tensions in Jerusalem, as an apparent terror attack on passengers disembarking the Jerusalem Light Rail gave way to near-daily rock-throwing incidents and Molotov-cocktail attacks in flashpoint East Jerusalem neighborhoods.
Officials have vowed to crack down on the violence, beefing
up police presence and calling for harsher punishments for rioters. State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki said Kerry was due to speak to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the next day about working to calm tensions. “We’ve been in close touch, as I’ve mentioned or alluded to, with senior Israeli, Jordanian, and Palestinian officials to try to deescalate the situation,” she said.
Earlier Thursday, Kerry distanced himself from an article published in The Atlantic Tuesday that quoted a senior administration official calling Netanyahu “a chickenshit,” saying the words were “disgraceful, unacceptable, and damaging.”  The secretary of state further emphasized that the US would continue to work “quietly and effectively” in order to restart peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians. “We still believe it is doable, but it takes courage and it takes strength,” he said of the peace process. “Both sides have to be prepared to compromise in order to do it.”
AFP contributed to this report.

Obama has shown favoritism even between black and white Americans. He has ripped America apart and never in our history have we been at each others throats as we are now. Black against white, Democrats against Republicans, liberals against conservatives, religious against atheists. We have allowed him to divide and conquer.  REMEMBER THIS NOV 4, 2014

Remember, please, that Yehuda Glick, who is now fighting for his life after being shot three times at close range, has dedicated his life to fighting for Jewish rights on Judaism’s holiest spot in the world, Har Habayit, the Temple Mount.
  • The Americans claim to be for equal rights for all.
  • The Americans claim to be against apartheid.
  • The Americans claim to be for religious freedom.
  • The Americans claim to be a friend of Israel.
For the American Government to use the attack on Glick to promote a policy that is in total opposition to American values is the epitome of hypocrisy and proof of their antisemitism.
But President Obama and his foreign-policy team aren’t just annoyed by the prime minister. They’ve come to view him as public enemy No. 1, using language about him and giving assessments of his policies that are far harsher than they have ever used against even avowed enemies of the United States, let alone one of its closest allies. (Commentary Magazine)

The Israeli Government must pay attention and stop listening to the USA! Nothing we do besides folding up can disappearing will please Obama, Kerry and all.
