Jerusalem Inspiration
Today is Yom Hazikaron, Israel's Memorial Day for fallen soldiers, which always precedes Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel's Independence Day. The reason for connecting these two days is very clear: Israelis owe their independence to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for it.
Every Israeli feels the conflicting emotions over this 48 hour period, starting with brutal sadness and ending in utter joy. This vacillation of feelings is very predictive of every Israeli's life!
