Dear Breaking Israel News readers,
It is with sadness I write to you today on Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. Ever since I was a little kid, I remember my fascination with the numbers on my grandparents arms, their tales of growing up in Europe and their experiences in the concentration camps. My sisters and I would try to get my grandparents to share with us their stories, but they were often too painful, too horrific to tell or listen to, even after so many years had passed.
On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we pledge to “Never Forget” but for some, that is not enough. If you are looking to deepen your understanding of the Holocaust, consider a unique trip for Jews and Christians to Poland this summer.
From July 13th through the 16th, we will visit sites
displaying the thriving Jewish life before the war in both Warsaw and Krakow. Our journey will take us to the Warsaw Ghetto, the important Jewish town of Tarnow and the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. We will bear witness to the dangers of anti-Semitism and mourn those who perished. Most importantly, we will gain from the incredible faith of the martyrs and the survivors.
Last Year’s ‘Tour of Remembrance’ proved to be a life altering trip and if you have never been, a trip to Poland is invaluable for a deeper love of Israel and the Jewish people.
Join our life-changing journey where we will see first-hand the strength of the Jewish people: “Am Yisrael Chai” - the Nation of Israel Lives!
Shalom from Israel,
Rabbi Tuly Weisz
