PRES. HUSSEIN OBAMA...have you ever heard of the Bab-el-Mandeb Straits?

PRES. HUSSEIN OBAMA...
have you ever heard of the Bab-el-Mandeb Straits?

BIBI WARNS THE WORLD REGARDING THE TRUE INTENTIONS OF IRAN

The Bab-el-Mandeb is a strait located between Yemen on the Arabian Peninsula, and Djibouti and Eritrea in the Horn of Africa. It connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden"Bab-el-Mandeb" means "Gateway of anguish", or "Gateway of tears"; the strait derives its name from the dangers attending its navigation.  The Bab-el-Mandeb acts as a strategic link between the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, via the Red Sea and the Suez Canal. In 2006, an estimated 3.3 million barrels (520,000 m3) of oil passed through the strait per day, out of a world total of about 43 million barrels per day (6,800,000 m3/d) moved by tankers.  The distance across is about 20 miles (30 km) from Ras Menheli in Yemen to Ras Siyyan in Djibouti.  On February 22, 2008, it was revealed that a company owned by Tarek bin Laden (half-brother of you know who) is planning to build a bridge named Bridge of the Horns across the strait, linking Yemen with Djibouti.  Middle East Development LLC has issued a notice to construct a bridge passing across the Red Sea that would be the longest suspended passing in the world.  The project has been assigned to engineering company COWI in collaboration with architect studio Dissing+Weitling, both from Denmark.

Yesterday, during a speech regarding the developing agreement between Iran and the world powers, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu also addressed the recent developments in Yemen: “In parallel to the convergence towards this dangerous agreement, Iran’s agents in Yemen are conquering vast parts of the country and attempting to take over the strategic Bab-el-Mandeb straits, which could alter control over sailing and the world oil supply,” he stated. “After the Beirut-Damascus-Bagdad axis, Iran is attempting a pincer movement in the south as well, in order to take control and conquer the entire Middle East. The Iran-Lausanne-Yemen axis is very dangerous for humanity and must be stopped.”

Israel’s Interior Minister, Gilad Erdan, expressed optimism that there could still be time to influence the terms of the final deal, which had a deadline set for the end of June.
“It’s true that a deal is close, and there is a chance that an agreement on basic principles will be reached in the coming days,” Erdan told Army Radio. “But until the final agreement, which is supposed to be signed with Iran by the end of June, there are still a wide range of diplomatic options.”
“If, God forbid, it happens, Israel will also be required to reassess the whole resulting security situation,” he added.

my two-cents worth.-
in the grand schemes of things...i am just a simple-old historian...who loves to read and i am also a weaver...a weaver of stories and history...and always remember that history repeats itself.  BIBI is soooo-right again but Pres. Hussein Obama is either deaf or dumb...maybe both, or just like i am sometimes...a selective deaf.  just suppose that iran-proxy-yemen decides to block these straits?  what would happen to the oil?  it will have to go around the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa...or...perhaps Obama is counting on Camp Lemonnier is a United States Naval Expeditionary Base, situated at Djibouti's Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport and home to the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) of the U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM). It is the only US military base in Africa. The camp is operated by U.S. Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia; CJTF-HOA is the most notable tenant command located at the facility as of 2008. It was established as the primary base in the region for the support of Operation Enduring Freedom - Horn of Africa (OEF-HOA). After negotiations between March and May 2001, the Djiboutian government allowed for the base's use by the U.S. and it now serves as the location from which U.S. and Coalition forces are operating in the Horn of Africa. The access agreement made by officials from the U.S. Embassy in Djibouti with the Djiboutian government allows for use of the camp, as well as a nearby airport and port facilities. According to a press report in October 2012, "Camp Lemonnier is the centerpiece of an expanding constellation of half a dozen U.S. drone and surveillance bases in Africa, created to combat a new generation of terrorist groups across the continent, from Mali to Libya to the Central African Republic."
