ILLEGAL SETTLEMENTS IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA, AND THEY AREN’T JEWISH

ILLEGAL SETTLEMENTS IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA, AND THEY AREN’T JEWISH

Hypocrisy at its finest- the EU was caught financing the illegal building of Arab homes with EU public funds…

All we ever hear about are the supposed “illegal settlements” that Jews are building on Jewish land. A new report shows that the European Union is funding the construction of illegal Palestinian homes in Area C, which is under Israeli jurisdiction. There are over 400 of these homes built illegally and flying EU flags. The EU and Oxfam are using that tired old “humanitarian” argument to try to get away with their illegal activity.
That’s the EU- and Oxfam- that organization that made such a fuss over Scarlett Johansson and her association with Sodastream, which had a factory in the Jewish settlement of Ma’aleh Adumim and had graciously employed many Arab employees (who had a better life because of their Sodastream jobs with equal pay and benefits) and was located in a place which Arabs in past peace talks had previously agreed would be a part of Israel anyway.
The report, released by the NGO Regavim, states that these buildings are in fact located near Ma’aleh Adumim.
“According to Regavim, European Union support for the Palestinians has in recent years moved from ‘passive diplomatic and financial assistance to a situation of active cooperation in illegal building which the Palestinian Authority has been advancing unilaterally since 2000, as part of its strategic plan to create a Palestinian state de facto, while avoiding the need for negotiations with Israel.’
“… The underlying idea behind the joint Palestinian/EU efforts in Area C, [Ari] Briggs [of Regavim] asserted, is to establish a permanent Palestinian presence on the state lands there. ‘This is great hypocrisy,’ Briggs said. ‘Any time a building goes up for Jews, they raise an outcry, call it illegal and say it endangers peace. They are building illegal houses for Arabs.'”
“It is hypocritical of the EU to criticize Israeli construction while at the same time actively supporting and practically taking part in illegal Palestinian settlement construction on Israeli land,” Likud MK Yariv Levin charged.
Now Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the demolition of these structures which reportedly cost tens of millions in EU public funds.
