DM Moshe Ya’alon:
The Rocket Fire From Gaza May Restart
The latest temporary cease-fire with Gaza is set to
expire on Wednesday at midnight......LOL....LOL....
Visiting an IDF naval base in Ashdod on Tuesday, Defense
Minister Moshe “Bogie” Yaalon told the soldiers that Operation Protective Edge
hasn’t ended yet, and we’ll need patience and perseverance.
He told the soldiers they need to be vigilant, and he
doesn’t know if an agreement will be reached by tomorrow night, if the
cease-fire will be extended, or if shooting will begin again.
PS.- It is 2:51pm here in sunny Miami and my REDALERT app tells me of rockets attacks in Shaar Hanegev and Shafir...the delegations are still debating...the bombs are already falling...REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR!!! The Japs were still talking and the others were bombing our fleet in Pearl....same thing...
Before that we must remember that the ink of the draft of the Munich Accord was not dry and the Nazis were invading the Sudetenland....
ONCE...THE SHAME IS FOR HAMAS...but TWICE OR EVEN THREE TIMES IS SHAME FOR ISRAEL...this time we have to hit them hard...no ceasefire...no quarter...as the Spanish Cavalry used to say: "Deguello." If you do not understand it...ISIS is doing it right now...but that is ok by me...let them kill each other....HADJIS VS HADJIS....hell we could programm it in pay-per-view along with the auction of young girls....Boko Haram would feel uneasy about, least ISIS take the business away from them....LOL
Truce was broken: a siren sounded at roughly 21:50 (Wednesday) in the local municipalities of western Negev and Yoav and Ashkelon Beach. Home Front Command said that it must be examined whether the firing is from the Gaza Strip or a false alarm. No injuries or damage was reported. Earlier this evening, it was reported that the Israeli delegation left Cairo and returned to Israel for consultations. A few hours before the ceasefire deadline, one of the Hamas leaders in the Gaza Strip announced that during the day there was progress in the negotiations in Cairo and now both parties "are very close to an agreement".
Based on reports from Cairo, the Israelis and Palestinians received a document of understandings which was allegedly accepted by both sides. According to the report the issue is small refinements to matters and agreements which were mentioned thus far.
President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu held a telephone conference today, in light of the expiry of the ceasefire, said Ben Rhodes, Obama's Foreign Policy advisor tonight. He said the White House will provide further details regarding the content of the conversation between the two later on. Concurrently, heavy international pressure is placed on Israel and Hamas to agree to a truce - whether in the form of an extension of the temporary ceasefire or signing an agreement.
